Robyn Crocker
Treasurer
Robyn is from Drouin. She was a primary school teacher until she retired and has had an interest in missions since she heard about PNG in Sunday School as a 7 year old. She read about the New Hebrides in 1964. After retiring, Robyn joined the Gippsland RA and volunteered without knowing much about PWMU’s operation. Later Robyn became more fully involved in the work of PWMU.
Rosemary Zurrer – Vice President
Rosemary Zurrer

Rosemary is from Longwarry, Cardinia. She is a minister’s wife, and her husband is also working in chaplaincy. They have lived in 11 different homes across Victoria and South Australia, commencing her involvement with PWMU over 50 years ago. Elspeth Slater – Newsletter editor
Elspeth Slater
Newsletter editor
Elspeth worked as a nurse and midwife in Ethiopia and Burkina Faso, also teaching classes at a Bible School and Girls’ Schools. Later, with two African colleagues, she established a programme for equipping pastors’ wives to teach women in their churches. This involved writing and translating lesson materials into the local language. Now retired, she is active in her local church, and enjoys keeping the needs of cross-cultural workers before those who will pray for and support them.
Pam Vandenberg – Prayer Convener
Pam Vandenberg
Prayer convener
Pam was from Leigh Presbyterian Church where her husband was the pastor until his recent retirement. Pam has four married daughters and fourteen grandchildren. Pam was blessed to have grown up in a godly home with parents who were involved in supporting missions and workers, although her childhood was spent in a Buddhist majority country.
Sue White – Children’s work
Sue White
Children's work
Sue’s family migrated from England when she was a child. While living at a migrant hostel in Adelaide, she attended a Gospel Hall Sunday School and, for the first time, heard the Gospel. In due course, she grew to appreciate the wonderful grace of God and gladly realised that Jesus had died for her. As a young Christian, Sue loved reading missionary biographies and this fuelled her ongoing interest in gospel work both here and overseas. She and her husband now live in Geelong where they enjoy being part of the Geelong West Presbyterian Church. Sue’s husband, 3 children and 11 grandchildren bring her much joy – most of the time!
Gaye McKenzie
Gaye grew up in a Christian home and committed her life to the Lord at a Billy Graham Crusade. Gaye’s interest in missions developed when she and her husband supported a friend serving in Africa. They later supported a couple from their church, sent to Africa by Wycliffe to undertake bible translation. Becoming a member of PWMU increased Gaye’s knowledge of mission work, both in Australia and overseas. Gaye is also involved in her own church’s mission program.
